Não podia terminar esta época de casamentos da melhor forma, com o casamento da Ana e do Amid na belíssima Quinta dos Anjos, em Santarém. Tal como no ano passado, fotografei o último casamento deste ano praticamente em casa e, o que se julgava ser um dia cinzento e com muita chuva, revelou-se um dia muito agradável e até fomos fomos brindados com algum calor. O Verão de São Martinho chegou sem dúvida mais cedo!
O último casamento custa sempre um pouco. Por muito cansado que se possa estar depois de vários meses passados a viajar e a fotografar, fica sempre a nostalgia e a saudade de conhecer novos locais, de fazer novas amizades e de fotografar os melhores casais do mundo (são pelo menos para mim), não esquecendo as fantásticas equipas com quem trabalhei e os talentosos colegas com quem partilhei alguns momentos bem divertidos.
Confesso que estou cheio de vontade que 2015 venha rápido e estou ansioso para que a nova época comece. Vai ser uma aventura! Mas por agora, é chegada a altura de arregaçar as mangas e de adiantar os trabalhos que estão pendentes, para que possa entregar as muitas imagens que fui tirando ao longo do ano aos casais que aguardam ansiosamente pelas suas fotografias.

I couldn’t end this wedding season in the best way, with Ana and Amid’s wedding at the beautiful Quinta dos Anjos, in Santarém. Like in last year, I’ve photograph the last wedding virtually at home and what was thought to be a gray and very rainy day, proved to be a very nice day and we were even blessed with some heat. The “Dia de São Martinho” (“Saint Martin Summer”, a couple of warmer days in mid November) arrived undoubtedly sooner!
The last wedding is always hard. As tired that I might be after several months spent traveling and shooting, I always feel nostalgic and start missing the adventure of discovering new places, meeting new people and photographing the best couples in the world (at least to me) not forgetting the fantastic teams that I worked with and the very talented colleagues with whom I shared some really funny moments.
I confess that I can’t wait to 2015 come fast and I look forward for the new season to start. It’ll be an adventure! But now, it’s time to roll up my sleeves and to continue working in the pending editing and album making, so that I can deliver the pictures that I shot out throughout the year to the couples who eagerly await for their photographs.
